Tell us a little bit about your background?
Like much among us, I guess, I was still attract with Art, I liked to draw on school tables and personal booklet, made stencils to custom teeshirts and skate for friends.
But oddly, I didn't choose an artistic education, cause essentially my parents were not really encouraging for this kind of process.
My education cursus is not really common compared with that one of my pals graphic designers. I studied accountancy / Adm. Secretariat, and I followed curse in Trade & Services, for finally to be graduated in trade marketing. What a boring part of my life ^^.
I'm a self-made man in graphic design. After a long break of more than one year, I started by chance in a cool french company, Allocine.com (an imdb.com but with more entertainment stuffs) and I stayed 4 years. Currently I'm a freelancer, my sphere of activities is identity & stationnery, website, illustrations, and recently I propose Photography. Photography is now, one of my favourite playground.

Who are your main inspirations? / What are your influences?
All is full of... inspirations. Music is one of the most important, with travels too.
I can't imagine a world, a journey without music, that's just my pulse, so vital. Travel is another important part in my inspiration process, speaking, sharing, drinking with people, to keep an open mind.
And as I use to say, my prefered artists are Thomas Brodhal & Rob Lindström, I was subjugated when I watched their work & vector techniques. I started my first real personal vector shits thanks to them. And without a doubt, vectorial illustrations is the process that i prefer to make.

How do you keep motivated and interested?
Hmm not easy everyday, i'm a lazy dog ;) And sometimes Life holds some difficult moments, in business, family... so you have to keep in mind your aim. I lived one of them, not so a long time, and curiously personal works was not a discharge system. So I took a break to come back with new stuffs and projects to develop. Internet is a great vector to share and keep motivation : I check many kind of Graphic Portals : NWP, Cpluv, discovering sometimes cool profile on myspace...

Do you have any new projects coming up that you can tell us about?
The last one is a photoshoot during a Live Show in a parisian venue. I took photographies for FISHBONE (the Californian Band, carried out by the amazing Angelo Moore & Norwood Fisher). Some were added in the booklet of the last album called “Still Stuck in Your Throat”, US CD released on 24th April 2007.
Rigth now, I'm working for a small company, making its identity & stationnery, website and more...
I want to develop norwayseries.com, with new series and new projects too, I can't talk about it more. But my aim is to launch an exhibition in Paris and Oslo ; moreover an other project, not directly in phase with my work, I'll move to live soon in Oslo (1 year max). Oslo, place of one of most interesting agencies around the world : Bleed.no

And I project to make soon a series with female portraits who inspired me much.

What do you know about your country’s design/designers?
Sometimes I hear, there is a french touch, I don't know exactly, but all that I know, there is big talented people coming from different parts of France, and not just from Paris. Just to name some : Bastardgraphics, TKSH****, Akroe, Poana, Lysergid, megahell, Incog, Monovisua, Niark1, Veenom, Tönky... and many more... often with a strong personal universe.
But unfortunately, I think french market is so “shy” with graphic design, what's a pitty, I don't understand why firms don't try more... Whereas elsewhere, graphic design takes a significant part. Conservatism ?

Any words you would like to pass it to new comer designers?
If it's a dream/passion do it ! Seriously, Work hard. But enjoy it !
Trust in your self but listen & accept critics, don't trust everything, keep your personal judgement. Get inspirations from great artist, watch their work, try to ask yourself : Why they do like that, and How they do that...

Any final comments:
Well, I would like to thank David Zheng for the support !
And BIG UP to : Monsieur Deez, Stenkat, BG&Sudani, ease, Melkaone, Xav, Phi, DaFF, SK, Twix, Fredo, Bao, Cheeky, J*wls, Elroy, tksh****, LSD, Monovisua, lewis, evasion, Sophie, Ursula Rucker, Angelo Moore, Jeremy (manager), Carole Guevin (netdiver.net), Michael Aguirre...
Yeah !

Big Bisous
